Darzamat

Poland has had a healthy gothic metal scene for a number of years, and Darzamat is one of the better-known members of that scene, with four albums and an EP recorded since their debut in 1996. Transkarpatia, their most recent album, is a prototypical symphonic gothic metal album, with the keyboards playing a major role and the vocal duties featuring both the Dani Filth-ish blackened rasp of Flauros and the pleasant female midrange voice of Nera, who at times brings fellow Polish singer Medeah (Artrosis) to mind. They are currently working on a new album for a 2009 release.
