Devolved

The extreme metal band Devolved originated in Australia in 1998, debuting with Technologies three years later, an intense, brutal yet quite technical death metal album with faint industrial influences. Early Fear Factory is a frequently cited soundalike, but Devolved is a shade more diverse and a bit more complex, particularly in the drum department, where John Sankey delivers some inventive fills. This is a promising act in the extreme metal field. The band (well, Sankey, anyway) relocated to Los Angeles in 2005, with the two later albums done by all-new lineups.
