Eyes Of Eden
Waldemar Sorychta is a familiar name to many in the metal
community, due to his extensive production work as well
as playing in bands such as
Grip Inc.
and
Despair.
Eyes Of Eden is one of his many projects,
with their album
Faith slotting firmly in the
melodic, female-fronted gothic metal category, alongside bands
such as
Within Temptation,
After Forever,
Flowing Tears,
and others.
Vocalist Franziska Huth has a wonderful voice, perfectly
suited for this style, graceful and ethereal, and Sorychta
backs her well with solid songwriting and riffing.
This isn't radically different than a lot of other gothic metal
acts like the aforementioned and others, but it compares
favorably with the best in the genre.
It looks like the band is no more.
