Elvira Madigan

Elvira Madigan is another in a line of one-man black metal bands, this one being the creation of a Swede named Witches - Salem, the band's second album, is a one-man effort in every sense of the did the graphics, produced the album, and even released it on his own Northlore label. An impressive feat in itself, made all the better in that Witches is quite a good album, based in the a dead ringer for Cradle Of Filth's Dani Filth. The arrangements are rich, with gothic instrumentation that carries the album beyond the confines of basic black metal. This is an accomplished effort from a recommended band.
