Instrumental doom?
Hmmm.
This Minnesota band have a pretty good thing going here
on
Through Trial And Tribulation Comes Triumph.
Several have listed
Pelican
as the main soundalike here, and that's reasonably accurate
(and not just because they too are instrumental),
with perhaps a more sludgy, doomier side showing here
as well.
The six songs are longish (all between six and nine minutes)
and somewhat samey though moody enough to keep the
listener interested.
The standard disclaimer about instrumental bands and their
motives no doubt applies here as well -- this is a band
less interested in mainstream success than doing what
they like.
