Fear My Thoughts

Over the course of about a decade Germany's Fear My Thoughts carved out a good career as a standout melodic death metal band. By the time of 2007's Vulcanus (their sixth album), they were on their game, a band firing on all cylinders as they say. By several reports, the followup (Isolation) marked a radical shift in direction, opting for a more moody hard rock sound and foregoing many of the more brutal elements of their earlier work. Whether the varied reviews of that album had anything to do with their breakup is debateable, but in any case they announced their disbanding in late 2009, playing a final farewell show in February 2010.
