Juggernaut

A quirky band from the late 80's, Juggernaut's style verged on progressive, based in traditional metal but with frequent temp changes and twisted riffs. At times they were quite interesting, but all too often the songs seemed to be somewhat disjointed, as if they were trying too hard to be different. After the release of the second album, bassist Scott Womack recruited new members (among others, guitarist Denny Shoup) and continued playing (but not recording, save a track on a local compilation) until disbanding in 1993.

Note: no relation to Juggernaut, a Minnesota-based band.
