Machine Men
Fans of all things
Iron Maiden-like,
this Finnish band formed in 1998, taking their name from the
Bruce Dickinson song that came out that same year.
The band themselves listed Maiden and
Queensryche
as influences (the latter is less evident, though at times
these guys do resemble 'Ryche in their early days),
with the real resemblance being in the vocal arena --
Toni Parviainen was a dead ringer for Dickinson, and in fact
Dickinson's recent solo works were also a good reference point
for this band.
They managed four albums between 2002 and 2007, and after several
quiet years they announced their breakup in February 2011.
