Morfeus

Morfeus was one of several Brazilian bands that comprised a healthy thrash scene (though mostly relegated to their homeland) in the late eighties and early nineties. The early Brazilian thrash style was always a primitive, frenzied, more raw approach to the genre (very early Sepultura was like this, but also bands like Korzus and Dorsal Atlantica), and Morfeus was very much in line with these bands. Formed in 1988, they managed one album (1993's Disbelieved World) and broke up soon afterward, but four of the five guys came back together a decade later, managing to get their album re-released on CD with bonus tracks.
