Negative Reaction

These New York doomsters have been around for awhile, apparently with hardcore roots in their early days. Sludgy, heavy doom is the emphasis here, with drawn-out songs (indeed, most of The Orion Chronicles is one 30-minute song) somewhat in the Electric Wizard vein, or perhaps a less angry Eyehategod. The strained, high-pitched vocals take some getting used to and may not be for everyone, though they are not the focal point of the band, as it's really the hammering Sabbathy riffs that drive the songs. Stoner/doom fans should check these guys out.
