Canada's kings of spacey, psychedelic sludge metal, Sons Of
Otis was formed in Toronto in 1992 (then named just Otis, with
the "Sons Of" added later to avoid conflict with another band of
the same name) and have attained near-cult status as one of the
heaviest bands on the planet.
Their style consists of an ultra-fuzzy, distorted guitar sound,
heavily echoed vocals, and songs that range in tempo from slow
to slower, maybe the kind of
music to listen to while drifting in outer space.
