Scanner

Formed after the demise of Lions Breed, Scanner released its debut album, Hypertrace, in 1988, scoring a bit of notoriety as their image and lyrics were heavily based in science fiction, atypical for metal in general. The music itself was decent if not outstanding typical Germanic metal of the period. A followup album appeared two years later, but after that the band laid low and has been essentially an Axel Julius solo band since then, recording sporadically with an everchanging lineup.
