Wall Of Sleep

Mood was one of Hungary's best doom bands, releasing four albums over an eight-year span before retiring in 2001. Three of the five members of that band started anew here in Wall Of Sleep (though two of those three are no longer around), and the spirit and sound of Mood remains intact, Wall Of Sleep playing the sort of raw doom metal that record labels such as Rise Above or Hellhound regularly produce. The band doesn't stray too far from the norms of the genre yet they've got a nice relaxed yet heavy style that is a joy to listen too. The PsycheDOOMelic label has been making a bit of headway lately, so hopefully Wall Of Sleep can get a bit more international exposure. Good stuff.
