This Finnish band has been around for quite awhile, debuting in 2001
and putting out a release almost every year since then,
though the only album reviewed here is 2009's Kalivägi.
They are usually labelled as pagan black metal, which in this case
translates to a black metal base
infused with a fair bit of the folk/viking style, though they don't belong
in either of those genres.
It's an interesting sound, with several influence peeking through that
give the band a bit of originality.
