Xenoblight
This Danish band wasted no time getting right to it, releasing their
debut album in 2018 barely a year after forming.
That album,
Procreation, features a mix of extreme styles -- rooted
in progressive thrash, there are enough elements of both black and
death metal present as well.
And while the musicianship is technical and flashy, there's a fair
amount of groove present, which serves to ground the songs and prevent
them from being too chaotic, even with a neverending barrage of riffs
pummelling the listener.
Procreation appears to have flown under the radar
of the masses (due in part, perhaps, to being a self-financed release),
but Xenoblight needs to be heard.
