Aeternus

The Bergen-based band Aeternus dates back to 1993, and has been known as a black metal band for much of their career, but much like fellow Norwegians Gehenna, they mutated over time to a death metal band, as can be heard on their 2003 album A Darker Monument. Their more recent album, Hexaeon, tones down the death metal influences somewhat.
