Decrepit Birth
This highly-charged California outfit has two albums to their credit,
with the most recent being
Diminishing Between Worlds, released in 2008.
Diminishing is a brutal tech death assault, overflowing with
complex riffs, time changes, insane drumming, the works
(though several reports state that the first album,
2003's
... And Time Begins, is of a very different death metal style).
For the uninitiated, the standard disclaimers apply -- this is seriously
complex and brutally heavy, with the drawback (to some) being that songs
tend to blur together, as each song is really nothing more than a
neverending string of short-lived riffs.
An exhausting listen, no question about that,
Diminishing ranks among
the best of its class.
