Fvnerals
Fvnerals are based in Germany but the core pair of
Tiffany Ström and Syd Scarlet met in England in 2013.
The earlier efforts are doomy, somewhat funereal ambient metal,
but on the most recent
Let The Earth Be Silent album,
the duo lean further into the dark ambient theme,
with haunting ethereal vocals complementing sparse,
minimalistic but powerful instrumentation, evoking a
haunting and often harrowing
atmosphere.
There's very little in terms of conventional songs here,
but the ultra-dark moods that are struck here are monumental and
compelling.
