Nightingale

Initially Nightingale was purely a solo project for ex-Edge Of Sanity vocalist Dan Swano, who as many know has had his hands in many bands/projects throughout the years. He was later joined by Tom Nouga, who in reality is Dan's older brother Dag, for the second and third albums, and finally the project became a genuine band with the arrival of a proper rhythm section. Many of Swanö's bands are rooted in one form or another of death metal (see Edge Of Sanity, Pan-Thy-Monium, and Bloodbath), but here the focus is on melodic progressive metal The Closing Chronicles) and even prog rock, which isn't too suprising when hearing Dan's Moontower solo work.
