Nocturnal Rites

Nocturnal Rites arrived on the recording scene in 1995 riding the wave of 80's-inspired Euro-power metal pioneered by the likes of Helloween, Gamma Ray, and Blind Guardian, though in their pre-debut days they actually were a death metal band. With a vocalist switch in 2000 came a subtle shift in sound, moving more into the traditional metal/hard rock category. They disappeared after 2007's The 8th Sin but resurfaced a decade later with a new album, aptly titled Phoenix, in 2017.
