Infernal Majesty

Infernal Majesty is best known for their seminal first album, None Shall Defy, regarded by some as a minor classic in the thrash metal field. Following its release in 1987, the band underwent some lineup changes and recorded two demos, the latter of which was recorded in 1991 with only the two guitarists remaining from the Defy lineup. Unable to secure a new deal, the band folded shortly thereafter. In 1996 None Shall Defy was re-released by Displeased Records, and its success inspired the band to reunite. With original vocalist Chris Bailey back in the fold alongside returning guitarists Steve Terror and Ken Hallman, Infernal Majesty finally released their second album, Unholier Than Thou, which, apart from vocals that verge on death metal at times, is similar in spirit to the debut. The band last recorded in 2007.
