Sourvein

A prototypical sludge doom band, Sourvein originated in North Carolina but has moved around a bit, apparently spending time in New Orleans as well as Texas. Musically this band is in the same ballpark as bands such as Eyehategod and Buzzard (with whom these guys have shared members), consisting of raw early Sabbath riffing with tortured scratchy core-ish vocals. Again like other bands in this field, stability is always in question, the band recording sporadically and members coming and going at will.
