Temple Of Brutality
This Nashville-based band features some big names,
most notably
Megadeth
bassist Dave Ellefson but also one-time
W.A.S.P.
drummer Stet Howland,
both of whom join guitarist Peter Scheithauer in that
man's other project,
Killing Machine.
Lethal Agenda is the 2005 debut for this group,
a
Pantera-esque
slice of prime thrash.
Scheithauer is a fine guitarist, and Howland and Ellefson
are ok too (though, like a lot of modern bassists,
Ellefson often finds himself buried in the mix), but
Todd Barnes' shouted vocals are just too
monotonous, though those into metalcore might
like them better, even if neither he nor this band
fit the metalcore mold.
In general, this sounds like by-the-numbers 90's-era
thrash, decently done though pretty generic when all
is said and done.
