Austrian Death Machine

A thrash/crossover project lyrically centered around all things Arnold Schwarzenegger? Well, okay. The man behind all this is Tim Lambesis, vocalist for the metalcore act As I Lay Dying. Musically, this is retro speed/thrash with some metalcore influences (vocals and the occasional breakdown), all competantly done by Lambesis and a host of guests. Lyrically, the joke wears thin after awhile, as is usually the case where humor and metal mix, made all the more amazing that this project is now three albums in. Not quite sure who the target audience is here, as As I Lay Dying this isn't and there are better retro thrash bands out there, but as Lambesis takes pains to emphasize, this is not a project to be taken seriously.
