By Fire & Sword
Idaho's By Fire & Sword are an intriguing prospect.
Musically they play catchy, pristine traditional/power metal, while the clear,
melodic, and not particularly metallic
vocals give off frequent
Ghost
vibes (so, really, "a more power-metal-oriented Ghost" isn't too far off the mark
for a band description).
The icing on the cake is the lyrics, which initially present themselves
as serious Christian preaching, but are soon revealed to be sarcastic
religious parody, which is often quite humorous.
Humor-oriented metal bands have always been few and far betweena and often struggle
to make a lasting impact, but these guys might be able to do it.
