Biblical
Toronto rockers Biblical arrive here from a different path than the norm,
as they aren't a traditional metal band
(though Bandcamp notes a
Motorhead
influence, not that you'll hear it here).
They formed in 2010 and have a few recordings under their belt,
recently in 2017's
The City Always Sleeps reviewed here.
The band members' roots are more aligned with alt/indie rock, and those
influences are all over the place here, but there's enough moodiness
and heavy guitars to perhaps satiate some left-field metal fans
(count yours truly as one).
There's some psycheledia, several Pink Floyd-isms, some darkwave
catchiness, and yes, some real metal riffing at times.
City became a grower after several listens and rose to Top Ten status
with ease.
