Black Cobra
As heard on 2007's
Feather And Stone,
This LA duo
(yep, just two guys -- a single guitarist/singer and a drummer)
deals in raw, sludgy metal,
the songs frequently on the doomier side of things but also
including more uptempo fuzzy rockers like "Red Tide" and
"Swords For Teeth".
The vocals are suitably angry, but somewhat buried in the
mix, which could have been a negative but here it's a good thing,
as they retain their vigor without being oppressive.
