On 2024's
Chapter II: The Lotus Covenant
this Finnish band play an easygoing form of
slightly doomy traditional metal,
with plenty of nods to the 80's and even
70's, when the line between heavy metal and hard rock was
especially blurry.
Vocalist Johanna Etaläkari's clear, melodic yet classically rock-inspired
vocals are a major plus here (though, unfortunately, she left
soon after the album's release).
The band's lineup seems rather fluid, with only founder
Johannes Lahti left after just two albums.
Still, there's potential here for a breakout if things fall their way.
