Cryptopsy

Legends in the death metal underground for several years, Cryptopsy takes brutal death metal to the extreme -- insanely fast (and surprisingly technical) riffing, time/riff changes galore, and impressive drumming performances from Flo Mounier, among the best of his contemporaries. This is the kind of music that even leaves the listener exhausted, never mind the enormous amount of energy it must take to play this stuff. Despite recent lineup changes, the band is still the leaders of the highly-regarded French Canadian death metal scene.
