Early Moods
Early Moods brings together some LA musicians
who cut their young teeth on local death and thrash
bands to pursue their love of all things doomy.
They made some noise with their 2022 self-titled effort,
and they've doubled down on 2024's
A Sinner's Past,
with their style drawing from legends such as
Candlemass,
Pentagram,
and
Witchfinder General.
As of yet they haven't quite developed a distinctive sound,
but their tunes are solid and the analog-sounding production
remiscient of older
Witchcraft
is appropriate and welcome.
There's still time for this band to really come into their own,
but there's plenty on
A Sinner's Past to please
old-school doom fans.
