A DC-based gothic/industrial band, Godhead released three
independent albums in the late 90's (amassing a large following
in the process) before attracting the attention of none other than
Marilyn Manson,
resulting in their being the first band
(and, as it turned out, the last and only band)
signed to Manson's
Posthuman record label.
The 2001 album, 2000 Years Of Human Error, sounds a bit like a
a cross between Manson and Nine Inch Nails (the latter seems to
be the stronger influence) -- dark, foreboding, well-crafted
industrial alternative rock/metal.
