Ironaut
Ironaut is one of two bands that emerged following the breakup of
the short-lived 70's-styled band
Gypsyhawk.
While that band's leader (Eric Harris) took a similar tack on his
new band
Gygax,
guitarist Erik Kluiber went for a heavier approach here, the style
on the 2015 debut EP
Ironaut being more a gritty metal album that
occasionally
wanders into both the stoner and doom camps while not truly belonging in
either.
Kluiber's vocals are rough and venomous, giving the songs a beefier
swagger.
Could be the start of something special.
