Khemmis

On the strength of their 2015 debut Absolution, Colorado's own Khemmis can rightfully lay claim to being one of the most promising doom bands to emerge in recent times. Their style borrows a bit from both stoner and sludge metal, with meaty, riffy and vaguely sludgey guitar riffs, while the mostly clean vocals (well accented by some harsher growls) brings the band closer to traditional doom than sludge. They've since release another well-received album in Hunted, released in late 2016.
