While space rock isn't a metal genre per se,
there's enough overlap with styles such as doom, post-metal, and even
stoner rock to attract metal fans to the scene.
One can't go wrong with this here Monkey3,
a Swiss band that have been plying their trade spanning
over two decades and seven albums to date.
The 2024 release Welcome To The Machine features plenty
of Pink Floyd-isms both subtle and overt,
combined with an array of spacey riffs and jams showcasing
a band in top form.
This is all-instrumental like many bands of this style,
and vocals are really not missed at all.
Really good stuff.
