Mastery
Mastery are a Canadian band who went the unusual route on their
2005 debut of releasing an instrumental thrash album.
Whether this was a calculated move or simply an inability to find
a suitable vocalist, the result worked surprisingly well,
as
Lethal Legacy is full of
early-nineties thrash riffs and plenty of soloing to fill
the void where the singer might be.
Eventually, though, they decided to recruit a singer, and seven years
later the followup album was released with a largely different lineup
and an interesting vocalist,
that being none other than Billy Milano of
M.O.D.
and
Stormtroopers Of Death
fame.
Since then there have been more lineup changes, Milano is gone, but
the band is apparently still active.
