Thundra
Thundra was formed in 1998 by a trio of guys, two of which were
currently serving in other bands
(Harald Helgeson in
Enslaved,
Stein Sund in
Einherjer).
Those two left their respective bands, and soon enough three
more members were added to complete the lineup, resulting in
Blood Of Your Soul in 2000 and
Worshipped By Chaos some six years later.
Soul is a black metal album with noticeable viking influences,
particularly in the vocal department, which features clean vocals
and viking choirs alongside the usual blackened shrieks.
By no means is this band simply a cross between the aforementioned
Enslaved and Einherjer, but those two bands do provide a rough
view of where these guys are headed.
