Torch

Torch's 1982 EP pretty much came out of nowhere and generated a bit of buzz -- it wasn't fancy or complicated, just mean, down and dirty metal, quite heavy for 1982. The two full-length albums that followed didn't quite measure up (by the time of Electrikiss in 1984, the band was pursuing a more accesssible metal style), and they disappeared. Vocalist Dan Dark put together a new lineup for live shows and that lineup released Dark Sinner in 2009, consisting of re-recorded tracks from their past. More recently, the entire original band reformed and is putting out a new album in September 2020.
