Uccultum

Uccultum was a New Hampshire power trio that specialized in a sort of retro garage-y sound, mostly mid-paced hard rock with Glenn Guimond's vocals occasionally into Dave Mustaine territory. Though not a stoner band, their 70's vibe has a bit in common with such bands and thus could find an audience there. Uccultum was neither complicated nor particularly contemporary, but their songs had a nice groove to them, this being the kind of band to headbang to in a dark, smokey bar. After a few albums they changed name (and, presumably, musical direction) and carried on as Soul Hammer.
