Cripper

Hannover's Cripper released five albums following a debut EP in a career spanning from 2005 to 2018. Reviewed here is the band's swansong, 2017's Follow Me: Kill!, which sees the band firmly entrenched in a modern thrash mold, with some groove and metalcore elements and topped with impressive deathy growls courtesy of Britta Görtz. The songs mostly race by at breakneck speed (though with a few midpaced stomps sprinkled in the mix) and there's a lack of variety but not of intensity. The band announced that they'd disband following some farewell gigs in June 2018.
