Malisha
Malisha is a member of the Marty Friedman metal family tree, the connection
being that the vocalist here, one Kim La Chance, formerly sang with Marty
in one of his earlier bands,
Vixen.
That band recorded a single EP in 1982, with Friedman and others eventually
mutating into
Hawaii
and La Chance striking out on her own with Malisha.
The group only managed on album,
Serve Your Savage Beast, released in
1986 and featuring tracks culled from several different recording
sessions, which explains the large number of members appearing on the album.
The music is standard mid-eighties metal, nothing more and nothing less,
with Kim putting in a strong vocal performance.
The songs really aren't anything special -- this is a decent album for
its day but really only of interest to 80's collectors.
