Pyrexia

Pyrexia has been a mainstay of the New York death metal scene for years, dating back to 1990 and recording every few years, with a largely mutating lineup surrounding mainman Chris Basile. In addition to the listed discography, there's the foray with Obituary guitarist Trevor Peres, he joining forces with the then-current Pyrexia lineup to form Catastrophic, essentially Pyrexia renamed. Basile decided to take back the Pyrexia name after one album, though Catastrophic did two more albums later on in parallel with Pyrexia.
