Akercocke

Akercocke was one of England's rising stars in the extreme metal field, a heavily Satanic black/death metal band whose The Goat Of Mendes release rightfully garnered quite a bit of critical praise. Combining elements of both black and death metal (maybe one-third black and two-thirds death), their sound was brutal and intensely evil, Martin Bonsoir's subtle yet effective keyboard and electronic bits providing a key role in completing the package. As extreme vocalists go, Jason Mendonca has to rank as one of the more versatile, as he seemless alternates between death growls, vicious black shrieks, and even some haunting clean vocals. The band was also notorious for their image, that being their attire of conventional business suits, a marked contrast to their intense Satanic lyrical stance. After a successful run of five albums, they disbanded in 2012, but in 2016 a slightly modified lineup has come back together.
