Diamond Head

Diamond Head is one of the more well-known bands from the NWOBHM era, due in no small part to Metallica's numerous covers and unabashed acknowledgment of the band as an influence Their 1979 debut album, Lightning To The Nations, with the signature classic "Am I Evil?", remains one of the most important albums of the time, and upon their signing to MCA in 1981, worldwide superstardom was predicted for the band. But neither the rather hollow Borrowed Time nor the more experimental Canterbury really caught on with the public, and by 1985 the band seemed to have had enough and disbanded. Many years later, the core of guitarist Brian Tatler and vocalist Sean Harris put together a new version of the band and released the more poppy Death And Progress before disbanding again around 1995. Several years after that, Tatler and Harris put together yet another version of the band, though Harris later dropped out. Since then, Tatler has kept the band active, sporadically recording, though compilations and live albums outweigh new recordings. Yet, with a new vocalist, a new album is set for early 2016.
