Fog
American bands that play old-school black metal must feel they
are forever fighting an uphill battle, playing a style of music
that has a hard time finding an audience in their home country.
Fog's
Through The Eyes Of Night, released in 2000, is far
from a bad album, but the album and band had strikes against
them, ranging from minimal support, the aforementioned lack of
a local scene, and the simple fact that, though not bad, the
album isn't revolutionary enough to stand on its own merits.
Black metal purists will surely find something of interest here,
though their appeal is minimal outside that camp.
Note: no relation to the
post-
Fear Of God
band also named
Fog.
