Horfixion

Yet another in a long line of fine French Canadian death metal bands, Horfixion was formed in 1993 as Horrific Illusion, opting to condense the name in 1998 before their first release, an EP in 1999. Since then they've released two full-length albums, the most recent being Instigators Of Chaos in 2002. Their style isn't quite the manic death metal of their compatriots, but more a thrash band with some death overtones, and vocals in a shouted/hardcore style. Instigators features plenty of speedy riffing and fine drumming from guest Patrice Hamelin, borrowed from another good Quebec band (Martyr), with enough variation in songwriting to make the album an enjoyable and recommended listen.
