Howl
Rhode Island's Howl live up to their name on 2013's
Bloodlines, the band's third release and second on
Relapse
Records,
delivering a potent blend of sludgey stoner doom, vaguely along the
lines of, perhaps, a harsher
Mastodon
/
High On Fire
hybrid, full of dense riffs and roaring vocals.
The pace is often more mid-tempo rather than the slower plodding of
many sludge/doom bands.
