Living Sacrifice

Along with Tourniquet, Living Sacrifice is among the heaviest and most respected Christian extreme metal bands on the scene. Though there has been subtle shifts in direction over the years (an early Slayer thrash style on the debut, a death metal approach on Inhabit, a somewhat more hardcore-influeced style on Reborn, a mixture of several extreme styles on Conceived in Fire), their records have been of a consistently high quality throughout, resulting in their being a recommended band to fans of any of the aforementioned styles. They broke up in May of 2003, citing family and personal reasons for the split, but as of February 2008 they were back at it, planning shows and a new album for 2009.
