Wicked Maraya
Long Island metallers Wicked Maraya debuted in 1995 with a pretty
decent progressive/power metal album entitled
Cycles, garnering
some critical acclaim.
They then shortened their name to just Maraya, shifting their
musical direction slightly more toward grunge metal, and released two
albums that ultimately failed to gain any traction.
By 1998 they were done, until 2011, when the band came back together,
reverting to their original name Wicked Maraya.
For some time there was mention of an earlier album that was never
released, and in fact that album, entitled
Lifetime In Hell, was
indeed recorded back in 1991 and finally has been resurrected and
released in 2016.
