Power Trip

Power Trip are a Texan crossover band whose Manifest Decimation album somehow found its way to the drone/doom-laden Southern Lord roster in 2013. Manifest borrowed from familiar crossover influences (Nuclear Assault, M.O.D., etc) and while it didn't bring anything really new to the table, there was hints of greater things to come. Four years later that potential was realized with Nightmare Logic, where the band drops a bit of the crossover style in favor of a more energetic thrash style, catapulting the album to much critical and fan acclaim. The future still looks great for this band, but the tragic passing of vocalist Riley Gale in August 2020 has put a damper on things,
