Primitive Man

Arguably one of the heaviest bands making their mark these days, Primitive Man arrived in 2012 by way of Colorado, recording quite prolificly since their inception (including several singles and splits in addition to the work noted here). 2017's Caustic stumbles and lurches forth, ultra-slow and ultra-heavy, oppressively thick and noisy, befitting the album title and sludge metal in general. Subtlety and upbeat melodies are not in this band's vocabulary, and that's just fine.
